Going back next year

I've just been having a look round and I think me and some colleagues may go back to Dublin next year for the festival! We've all just been sharing photos of the weekend and are definitely up for it again next year. My friend Claire is even considering having her hen-party there. Great idea I think. We've even found a few apartments we can rent in the city instead of staying in a boring hotel! That way we can come as we please and even make dinner together! Hurry up October 2011 - I can't wait!

Oktoberfest in...DUBLIN?!

So last weekend I flew to Dublin and stayed there for a couple of nights. I love this city - there is always so much going on and the people there are so friendly. The rest of the Cabin Crew and I decided to head out for the evening and discovered that the famous Munich Oktoberfest was actually also being celebrated in Dublin! Now I've been to the Guinness Brewery many times but never would I have thought that the Oktoberfest would be so popular in Ireland! There were apparently over 70,000 people there! Unbelieveable! I've been to Munich a few times and have done a lot of sightseeing but never had the chance to experience Oktoberfest there. Maybe next year! Anyways, I'm glad I was flying there with work as we met a lot of people who found it tough getting accommodation during the festival. Needless to say, everyone had a great night and the atmosphere in the city was fantastic - even better than usual. Everything was a bit more expensive than normal but we all had such a fantastic time it didn't matter. We all had pretty sore heads serving passengers on the flight home but I think most of the passengers were grateful for an hours nap on the way home!
I would definitely recommend Dublin to anyone if you have the chance to go! Such a fantastic city - just a stones throw away!
